Event

The Power of Play festival celebrates video games as a driver for change. It is organised by IIDEA, the Italian video game industry association, in partnership with Games for Change, an international organisation founded in 2004 that promotes the creation and use of video games with a positive social impact. The festival is being held at the initiative of the City of Pesaro – CTE Square and the University of Urbino Carlo Bo.
The event offers insights and case studies to help attendees understand how video games can be used to promote positive outcomes in areas such as culture, education, health, environmental sustainability and human rights. Through in-depth panels and practical workshops, it explores the potential of using video games in the classroom to support teaching. The event provides food for thought and helpful tips for families on how to make the most of video games during their children’s free time. There is also an exhibition featuring video game stations that share a meaningful message or social purpose.
The Power of Play offers a unique opportunity for game developers, educators, cultural workers and representatives of civil society and public institutions to come together. The event aims to create new connections between creativity, research, technology and community.
Tickets are free and grant access to all event content.
